What is The Analyst Advised Fund?
The Analyst Advised Fund is a bespoke donor-advised fund (“DAF”) created to maximize the impact of our giving. Unlike other DAFs, we are able to guarantee that 100% of your donation will flow through to your desired charitable partners. All fees and expenses are covered by our team as well as generous donations to our organization.
You do not have to donate through our fund.
But if you don’t yet know where your money should go, it is a great way to maximize the impact of your giving!
A DAF is a tax-preferred philanthropic vehicle administered by a public 501(c)(3) charity. According to National Philanthropic Trust, over $120 billion of assets were held in U.S. DAFs in 2018. Under this structure, donors receive an immediate tax benefit upon contributing and have the flexibility to choose the timing of their grants.
The Analyst Advised Fund pools together donations into a portfolio managed by leading impact investors. In pooling contributions, we are able to scale our collective impact and create a tangible, long-term funding source for nonprofits.
We have partnered with Impact Charitable to create The Analyst Advised Fund. Thanks to their deep expertise in social impact investing, your contribution instantly starts making a tangible impact. All funds not yet granted out are invested in either (a) the Diversified Impact Portfolio, which consists of publicly traded ESG investments, or (b) Direct Deals, which are targeted ‘deep impact’ investments providing access to private capital for grassroots entrepreneurs working to solve our world’s most pressing issues. Past investments have included affordable housing and microfinance.
You can make your donation to a combination of either of these funds, as well as directly to individual charities. Upon taking the pledge, our team will reach out to help you determine which structure works best for your giving.
